In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. day I would like to share my favorite quote from him:

We are all special and unique in our own way and each of us has so much to offer to the world! In today's economic state this quote is even more sincere to me. I often turn to my internal family and forget others are going through tough times also. Whenever I ask myself this question, my problems become small and unimportant. I would like to challenge each of us to make this quote part of our daily lives.

Kate's Beauty Tip of the Week

If you're like me, your skin is starting to look a little lackluster.Thank you, winter! But it's easy to fake a  summer glow by whipping up  a body scrub made of sugar or coffee grounds (also great to use before shaving, for super smooth legs). Gently massage into wet skin in the shower, rinse, pat dry and follow with a layer of self-tanner. Xen-Tan in my favorite, no stinky self-tanner smell.

Brown Sugar Scrub

• 1 cup brown sugar
• 4 TBS honey
• 4 TBS olive oil

Coffee Scrub

• 1 cup brewed coffee grounds (save them in a air tight container after your morning pot of coffee)
• 1/3 cup olive oil
